To operate such a system the user have "electronic keys" to identify (authentic) them. These "keys" may be chip keys, PIN codes or fingerprints.
| According to the individual system configuration, alarming can be given in the form of a: |
The DIAMOND[E]MOTION®-Box has an internal acoustic beeper. An external acoustic beeper can be attached as well as an electrical connection to the building intrusion system.
The DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system surveillance furniture permanently and gives alarm as soon as the normal status changes. Depending on the kind of change this can be a door open warning, a burglary alarm, or a silent alarm. The alarm signal is acoustical and electrical via building intrusion system.
Reading the information from the chip keys, this is done via an electric field over the antenna. This field is emitted by the antenna of the DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system. For ergonomic use in daily operation the DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system is available with internal or with external antenna.
Antenna range is the area that is filled by an electromagnetic field from an antenna. The size of this range depends very much on the materials which are in there. The antenna range of DIAMOND[E]MOTION® systems measure about 2 - 3 cm diameter. Chip keys are verified only within this area.
All our electromagnetic locks lock doors, drawers, etc. automatically as soon as they are closed.
Authentification (Identification)
Presenting a chip key, typing a PIN codes, or scan a fingerprint provides the user ID to the system.
Chip keys, PIN codes and fingerprints are assigned to the DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system for specific authorisations in order to access furniture or doors. Giving access authorisation is called "programming", this is an essential part of the system administration, as it is also the erasing operation. Both are done in a few seconds.
Opening a protected door, drawer, etc. without prior authentification generates an immediate alarm.
Breaking a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® furniture security initiates a loud alarm immediately. When the system is connected to the building intrusion system this alarm does not only sound at the inside furniture but can also be transmitted outside with the reprogrammed alarm procedure.
| Intrusion System |
| Any type of alarms system that monitors and detects alert situations for material or human being. Intrusion, robbery and eventually fire are detected and managed according to reprogrammed procedures. The connections and sensors of such systems are permanently monitored against defect and manipulation. They provide different ways of alarming like acoustic, visual, telephone call, etc. |
| CHIP keys with RFID (Radio-Frequency-Identification) technology are proved to be totally manipulation safe. Available in different forms: ID cards, keyrings, wrist bands, etc. which are used for DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system for authentification (identification) of user. |
| The chip key of an assigned authorisation is erased in the DIAMOND[E]MOTION® Box. |
| Lost chip keys are not a security risk as soon as they are erased from the authorisation list of a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system. |
| The assignment of chip keys to a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system is called programming. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION® motor drives for doors, flaps, glasses etc. detect even slight resistance in the movement and switches off sensitively to prevent injuries occurred by clamping. This avoids claims against the system owner. |
| The DIAMOND[E]MOTION® Box is the central control computer of a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system. The most important functions are: the authorisation check, the lock activation and the furniture surveillance alarm. |
| Regularly opened elements shall be closed shortly, when they remain open longer than the reprogrammed door open time a warning sound from the internal beeper gives a warning. |
| Electronic locks replace conventional mechanical locks, for more security on doors, drawers, etc. These locks are controlled and activated by a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® box. A wide range of models is available to be used with the DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system and therefore suits all furniture versions. |
| Elements is the word used for doors, drawers, etc., all furniture parts which can be secured with a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® systems. |
| End-users are all the persons who use DIAMOND[E]MOTION® furniture security during their jobs (e.g. sales representatives). |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION®-Boxes with the event memory, document all openings, administrations and error events in a history file. This file can be downloaded to a PC and displayed in Microsoft EXCEL for analyses. |
| When the mounting position of a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® box inside a cabinet makes the internal alarm beeper inaudible an external alarm beeper can be installed. |
| Motorized opening and locking eyewear displays (sales presentation railings) from the manufacturer Concept-S are compatible with the DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system. Access to the displays and to the furniture is managed by the same chip key. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION® systems with fingerprint scanner, identify the user from the fingerprint scan. This technology has proved to be convenient, secure and save against manipulation. |
| A fingerprint scanner detects individual fingerprint patterns obtained by optical means and identifies the user personally. Readers are available in wallmount and table version. Fingerprint scanners are connected to a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® box and are used for authentification. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION® components are mounted inside the furnishings. When installation is done according our racommendations no technical elements will be visible from the outside while furniture can be designed with the latest straight and modern finishes. |
| see for authentification |
| This operation mode allows to access certain elements (doors, drawers, etc.) individually and depending on the user or on the open events records related to each single element. This feature become important when only certain user is authorized to access certain elements. An alternative opening mode is the parallel lock activation. |
| When an alarm beeper is integrated in a DIAMOND[E]MOTION®-Box gives a warning sound in case of a suspicious event. |
| For authentification (Identification) the DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system operates with CHIP keys, PIN codes or fingerprints. |
| The key mode is used for a permanent opening of the elements. A positive authentification activates all elements in this system and they stay open, the next positive authentification locks all elements. This mode is generally used to secure office furniture. Further opening modes are open 1 door mode, open X doors mode and select 1 door mode. |
Locking Plan |
| Devices in security level 3 are capable to assign authorisations to each single element. For example CHIP key Nr. 1 is assigned to open 1 particular door or doors while CHIP key Nr. 2 is assigned to open all doors of a locking group. Modifications on this locking plan can be done by the administrator. |
| All interface units connected to a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system accessible from outside are manipulation protected. Manipulations on hand terminals or antennas never result in an opening of elements. |
MASTER CARD Security |
| Each DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system comes with 2 ASSIGNED MASTER CARDS. MASTER CARDS do NOT open locks, they are required for system administration. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION® boxes of security level 1 have an integrated antenna, when the mounting position allows the convenient use of this internal antenna this gives the most cost effective solution. |
Open 1 Door Mode |
| This opening mode unlocks all attached elements for a certain, selectable time span when an authentication was positive. |
Open X Door Mode |
| This opening mode unlocks all attached elements for a certain, selectable time span when an authentication was positive. |
| A time delay (selectable in length) must pass after a positive authentification before elements are activated, this feature can be helpful in case of a robbery and secures a significant time delay. |
| Opening duration is the period when the system unlocks attached elements (doors, drawers, etc.), it begins with a positive Authentification. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION®-Boxes of security level 3 record 10.000 events with details of CHIP-Id (person), data, time and element. This data file can be helpful for inventory analyses as well as for statistic analyses to optimize sales presentations. |
| Electric locks of a lock group are activated simultaneously. The alternative mode for specific opening of elements is the individual lock activation. |
| A connection to a personal computer is not necessary for normal operation. Some operations like configuration or reading the event memory requires a PC connection. |
| PIN Code is a free selectable, 4 to 8 digit number for authentification PIN entry is done via the 12 button hand terminal. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION® power supplies are designed for worldwide use because they accept and adapt to all country specific electricity standards. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION® systems can be powered with an optional backup battery to operate for a certain time in case of a power failure. |
| This is called the movement of a CHIP key into the range of an DIAMOND[E]MOTION® systems antenna. |
| This guide comes with each system and gives a short introduction into the basic steps of operation for a DIAMOND[E]MOTION® system. |
| DIAMOND[E]MOTION® systems are available in 3 different security levels to offer products with perfect function at the best possible price. |
| Operation in this mode consists of the positive authentification followed by a keystroke for the desired door number on the 12 button hand terminal to open an assigned element (door, drawer, etc.). |
| To clean furniture and show cases, to arrange goods, or to perform other work the door open warning can be switched off. |
| In case of robbery or other dangerous situation this alarm initiates the reprogrammed procedure. |
